Pedestrian Crosswalk Needed Between Ash & Oak and 13th Child brewery.
The Issue
Main Street has a safety problem and it’s getting worse as more people come to Williamstown.
Drivers use South Main Street as a cut-through. They speed. And the people crossing that street to get from Ash & Oak to 13th Child Brewery are doing so without any protection.
Foot traffic on this block is growing. These businesses are actively bringing people to Williamstown through events, through content that reaches thousands of people across South Jersey and Philadelphia. That’s good for this town. But we cannot keep inviting people here and asking them to risk their safety crossing the street.
We are asking Monroe Township Council to install a marked pedestrian crosswalk on South Main Street between Ash & Oak at 348 S Main and 13th Child Brewery directly across the street with appropriate signage and traffic calming measures to reduce vehicle speeds in this corridor.
Sign below and help make Main Street safe for everyone.
