As a pedestrian and dog walker, I am becoming increasingly worried by the lack of crossing at the foot of Beckham Lane on Winchester Road. Trying to access the Bell Hill recreation ground is becoming more and more difficult, as there is no marked or actionable crossing there, and drivers, especially those coming into town from the A3, seem completely oblivious to any pedestrian attempting to cross.

This petition aims to change that. The aim is to show the local government that, counter to their reason for denying the previous attempts to have a crossing out in, it would see use and is indeed necessary. And yes, this is not the first petition raising this issue. And I sadly feel that, should it be denied again, it won't be the last. Especially with the advent of yet another new housing development in the area.

Please sign and add your voice to this call for a much needed crossing at Beckham Lane.
