Statement by the Peace and Freedom Movement
in Support of the International Criminal Court (ICC)

With respect and solidarity,
The Peace and Freedom Movement fully and firmly declares its support for the initiatives and proceedings of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in investigating and prosecuting war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of terrorism committed in Afghanistan, particularly by the Taliban group and their regional and international supporters.

We strongly believe that there can be no lasting peace without justice. At a time when the world is slowly opening its eyes to the suffering of the people of Afghanistan (Khurasan), the Peace and Freedom Movement—as an independent grassroots movement—stands in full support of the ICC’s efforts to open criminal cases against the leaders of the Taliban and those responsible for atrocities in this land.

We further call upon the international community, the United Nations, the European Union, and all human rights organizations to support this legal process and help pave the way for justice and accountability.

Justice cannot be buried; the silenced voices will one day rise in the courts of history.
