Lunch is the only break we get out of our time learning at PCTI. Students take advantage of that time to talk to friends, eat food, and overall take a breath from learning; a very well deserved one! We come to school to learn and socialize, and to have assigned seats mandatory classrooms is already enough but assigned seats DURING OUR BREAK? What’s the point of that? It is understandable to have mandatory assigned seats in class to avoid distraction from our learning time. However, we aren’t learning during lunch. On top of that, we only have a break of 20 minutes. Only 20 minutes to eat in silence and not communicate? Not fair. Does PCTI assign seats during lunch to their staff? No, they don’t. Not to mention they get paid for their job and students are here because it’s mandatory. Assigning seats will only give staff more to do and keep up with. It won’t help anyone, whether it’s the students or the staff. Sign this petition to ensure you have the freedom to sit and socialize with your friends during your lunch period at PCTI!
