The Issue

Main Problem

Mongolian citizens CAN'T receive money through PayPal. Just from my background as a PayPal client, I know the fact that Mongolia has always been a SEND ONLY country (meaning that they can only send money through PayPal) since 2010. However, in 2020, there are growing numbers of Mongolian people who want to sell their products on e-commerce websites and compete in the World Market. But, since Mongolians can't receive money through PayPal; as a result, small business owners and freelancers are the most adversely affected. This puts everyone in a confined cage where they can't grow as a world citizen. Therefore, we request PayPal to make Mongolia a PayPal receiving country and vice versa.

Top 5 reasons why Mongolians want to receive money through PayPal

  1. There are a growing number of Mongolian manufacturers and small business owners who want to sell their products on e-commerce websites.
  2. Content creators and freelancers want to earn their paychecks online.
  3. International clients can use their PayPal to buy Mongolian products
  4. There are more than 200’000 Mongolians regularly send money to their relatives in Mongolia. Those same people want to receive money through PayPal
  5. Many Mongolians have gotten scammed multiple times by believing third parties posing as PayPal.

Solution

Even though I am aware that Mongolian local laws and financial regulations don’t meet with PayPal’s e-commerce policy, It can be solved in two ways.

  1. Mongolians as a community can request the Mongolian government to accept PayPal policies through this petition. This petition will help the Mongolian government to notice how many people want to use PayPal.
  2. This petition will help PayPal to use as evidence to discuss making Mongolia a PayPal receiving country.

I hope this petition helps my country to be on the list of Receiving Country. Thank you for your support!
