LeoList’s privacy policy explicitly states that they collect demographic information such as postcode, along with IP addresses, device data, and user behavior, and that they may share this data where they believe it is necessary.
This means LeoList already knows where posters are located and has the ability to identify when ads do not align with real locations.
Despite collecting and using this data for their own purposes, LeoList does not use it to protect clients or legitimate providers. There is no basic location verification, no meaningful fraud prevention, and no safeguard to ensure ads reflect real services in real places.
As a result:
Clients continue to be scammed and misled
Legitimate providers lose trust, time, and income
Fraudsters are given the same access as paying advertisers
LeoList collects and shares user data when it benefits the platform, but fails to use that same data to create a safe, scam-free experience for clients and end users.
