Self-Employed in Basel Stadt or across Switzerland should get a AID supporting their operating cost and survival wage for 6 monthd during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

As 100% Self Employed Personnel are solely dependent on the income generated from their Firm, Federal Council must support them with all possible AID, Relief to sustain both their Business and Lives. As these Firms also contribute their bit towards the economic development in the country, their rights in such situations should be equivalent to the rights of other forms of companies.

 

The actual impact of the COVID19 outbreak is yet not clear to anyone and businesses have already gone through one month of losses and the estimates claim the pandemic situation to take at least three months to get under control, the minimum releif any business needs to Stand up again is around the same time.

 

We request the authorities to not only allow extensions of payment dates and interest free loans but to offer complete releif to survive. Loans and extensions are like a recipe to disaster as this will become extra burden to entrepreneurs and enterprises which may increase the insolvency rate in the City.
