Dear Supporters,

Thank you again for standing with me and speaking out against unfair treatment. I want to share an update following my recent petition demanding that Northside Charter High School honor the full salary they promised me.

Instead of responding with transparency or accountability, the school’s legal representative sent me a letter using aggressive and threatening language, even implying I may be guilty of criminal harassment for simply encouraging supporters to contact Board members through their public work emails — a right protected under New York State law and the First Amendment.

More disturbingly, the school continues to refuse to pay my full salary, which is clearly stated in my signed offer letter as $87,000 annually for a full-time exempt position. I was never told this was a “10-month job” or that my salary would be prorated. My schedule, salary structure, and benefits — including 25 paid time off days — were consistent with a year-round position.

Here’s the contradiction: at the end of June, they claimed my employment had ended — yet said they would continue paying me through August 15. If my position truly ended in June, why are they paying me until August 15?
The truth is, this acknowledges what I’ve said all along: I was employed full-time and was entitled to be paid through August 15 — and the sudden cutoff of pay and access before that date was not only wrong, but possibly unlawful.

Your continued support means everything. This isn’t just about one person’s paycheck — it’s about demanding basic fairness and respect for all educators. I will continue to speak the truth, and I thank you for helping amplify it.

In solidarity,
N A
