Northside Charter High School has effectively taken away $5075 dollars of my annual salary unlawfully under fraudulent claims. You can see the details below.

Since March 2, 2025, I’ve served as a math educator at Northside Charter High School. From the start, I’ve been committed to supporting our students' growth and success, and it’s been a privilege to be part of this community.

I’m writing to raise a serious concern about how my employment has been handled.

I was hired under a full-time, exempt 12-month contract for the remainder of the 2024–2025 school year, with an annual salary of $XX,000 through August 15, 2025. My pay followed this agreement — until now.

Without prior notice or consent, I was informed that my status has been retroactively changed to a 10-month employee, simply because I’m not returning next year. As a result, my summer pay was cut by $5,075 — from $10,875 to $5,800. This change was never stated in my contract and violates the terms we agreed on.

Despite still being on payroll through August 15, the school refuses to honor the 12-month agreement. This is unfair, unethical, and a breach of contract.

I’m speaking out because no teacher should have to fight for the salary they were promised. This isn’t just about one paycheck — it’s about accountability, fairness, and respect for educators.

To the families, students, and community of Northside:
If you believe this is wrong, please speak up. Contact the school leadership. Ask questions. Share your concerns. And if you’re willing, sign and share the petition calling on Northside Charter High School to honor the contract and pay what is owed.
