Please, SHARE and Write to the board of Trustees

Today, the Chair of the Board of Trustees visited my instagram page and looked through my stories. However, I heard no response from them. No one signed the petition today but there has been more share.

Even though it may seem nothing, IT IS A HUGE DEAL to me. EVERY SINGLE SHARE and VIEW matters.

You know, I was interviewed by Northside Charter High School in November of 2024. However, they decided not to hire me. They hired someone else, who left within a short time. Then, still they did not hire me. They hired another person, who also left within a short time. 

In the mean time, I already got a full time position in another high school. However, I liked this school's [Northside Charter High School] location. It is in Williamsburg and closer to stores I visit for my daily needs. 

Suddenly, in February, Mr. Tadros, the supervisor, emailed and called me to take this position. He readily agreed to the salary I asked for also. I was surprised how he did not say anything but just gave me the salary I asked unlike the school I was working at. 

I needed more money to manage the expenses. Even though I missed my students that I build good relationships with, I still moved to this school. 

Initially, it was hard, and Mr. Tadros was watching behind my back all day long. He was also very disrespectful toward me. The only thing I cared about was my students. As I got to know them more, they were the best students of my teaching career. They really were. I am grateful I have met them and taught them. I am grateful I still have many of them with me. 

Mr. Tadros said many times how these classes I taught were chaotic and kids barely learned anything since the beginning of school year. Ms. Kate, ELA, supervisor said the same. They acknowledged how I brought routine to the classes, and the students said they were learning. The custodian who cleaned the room said this room 408 where I taught used to be filthy. However, after I came, it was the cleanest room on that floor. 

Despite the fact that I took over their messed up classes and did an amazing job, they decided not to hire me for the next school year. Even though I felt hurt, I moved on. 

However, to be deceitful and to take away my rightful salary in such treacherous manner is a heinous crime on this planet of earth. 

Ms. Blackman told me that their math teachers always leave one after another. And now you know why? Because these admins are treacherous and show neither respect nor trust toward them. 

They do not deserve to have teachers. 

Before I left, I wanted to tell Ms. Blackman, the head of the deans, that I wanted to stay in your school for a long time because I really loved the students. 

However, I was so hurt with the treacherous behaviors of the admins to say any goodbye to anyone. 

The chair of the board of trustees needs to amend their actions. 

Or else, it clearly shows that they neither care about their students nor do they have any respect and professionalism toward the educators they look to hire and keep.
