Our streets are sprinkled with the innocent faces of abandoned animals who have been ignored, left without the safety of a home. Many of those unfortunate creatures find a temporary haven in animal shelters, relying wholly on the kindness of others in order to survive. Yet, these shelters themselves are increasingly under threat. Manifestly, a lack of resources cripples their capability to provide enough food, proper medical care, and indeed, adequate places for these animals to curl up at the end of a challenging day. 

This heart-rending reality is not just based on personal experience. It's grounded in concrete fact. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide, yearly. More alarmingly, 670K dogs and 860K cats were euthanized in US shelters in 2020. The magnitudes of these figures are shocking and underline just how critical the situation is.

That is why we're canvassing for better treatment and consideration of animal rights. The notion that "Every Paw Matters" is not just a sympathetically charged slogan, but a call to rectify the care we extend to all animals regardless of their circumstance. It signifies the necessity of sufficient resource allocation to animal shelters, facilitating the provision of food, medical aid, and shelter that's so desperately needed.
