The Issue
We, the residents of Angola Neck Woods, are living in increasingly untenable conditions due to the state of our roads. Day in and day out, we face the dangers posed by pothole-riddled roads that could have serious implications in emergencies. Imagine an ambulance struggling to safely navigate these potholes while responding to an urgent call. The risk is unimaginable, especially when administering an IV requires a stable and secure vehicle. This is not a hypothetical scenario—it's a real threat every resident here faces.
The county sewer runs through our development, symbolizing a critical piece of infrastructure — evidence enough that Angola Neck Woods isn't a collection of private driveways but an essential part of the county's layout. Despite paying taxes on this sewer system, we see little reflection of our contributions in services or upkeep. Instead, the burdens of deteriorating roads are heavy on our shoulders, manifesting in high vehicle maintenance costs as we combat the wear and tear our cars endure daily.
Further adding to our woes, commercial vehicles trying to dodge these potholes exacerbate the problem. By swerving around, they form new potholes on our already struggling property, endangering us even further. Our entire community finds itself in agreement on this urgent matter — the roads need attention now more than ever.
This petition seeks your support in urging the county to recognize and rectify the hazardous condition of our roads. The quality of our infrastructure reflects the quality of our lives, and we can no longer afford to see our community's safety compromised. Join us in calling on the county to take immediate action and pave our roads, thereby making Angola Neck Woods a safer place for all. Please sign this petition to make a tangible impact in our community.
