Pave Northshore Road to save money and increase quality of life

Pave Northshore Road to save money and increase quality of life
The Issue
Living on Northshore Road has become increasingly challenging due to the frequent dust and maintenance issues that arise from its unpaved condition. The dust not only clogs up our homes, necessitating constant cleaning and air filter changes, but it also degrades the air quality that we and our families breathe every single day.
Despite a study conducted by the town which clearly indicates that paving the road would be a more cost-effective solution in the long run, constant delays have left us dealing with ruts, potholes, and inadequate solutions like sodium spray. These temporary fixes offer little relief and still expose us to harmful effects of dust and debris.
The lack of proper infrastructure is not just a minor inconvenience; it's a tangible problem that affects our quality of life and wellbeing. Better air quality is not just a desire but a necessity for a healthy living environment.
It's time for the authorities to act on their findings and prioritize the health and safety of Northshore Road residents by paving the road now. This change will not only enhance our daily lives but also contribute to longer-lasting car maintenance and cleaner, healthier homes.
50% of the funding is readily available from the federal gov. When the study was completed by the town, this government contribution was not factored in. Making this even more of an obvious choice.
Collecting the same taxes from dirt road homeowners as paved road homeowners, is a form of discrimination.
Please sign this petition to urge our town officials to pave Northshore Road and improve our community's quality of life.
