On Tuesday 1/23/24 a community meeting was held in Sale Creek TN to discuss the future of McDonald Farm.
Geno-O Shipley – Hamilton County Commissioner District 1 opened the meeting by welcoming the community to the meeting and advised the only topic that would be covered during the meeting was the McDonald Farm property. He introduced Mayor Wamp, Nathan Janeway, Matt Foltz, Commissioner Highlander, Commissioner Sharpe, Commissioner Eversole, Commissioner Highlander, and Commissioner Graham.
I estimate approximately 250-300 people attended this meeting. 6 rows 5 people per row, 30 per section (that’s conservative) and I think there were 9 sections filled plus all the people milling around on the floor.
At the very end of the meeting Nathan Janeway advises they are going to keep discussing, he said there may be changes before the 2/14/2024 Hamilton County Commission Agenda meeting. He encourages everyone who can to attend. The meeting starts at 9:30 am.
Citizen participation in local government is imperative. If you are unable to attend the meeting on Valentines Day, please consider contacting the Hamilton County Mayor and County Commissioners to respectfully express your concerns.
