We, the undersigned residents, taxpayers, and stakeholders of Onslow County, respectfully demand a temporary halt to any new zoning approvals or housing development projects in the Hubert and Swansboro areas. This moratorium should remain in effect until:

1. A comprehensive, transparent infrastructure impact study is conducted by qualified, independent parties, and

2. All currently approved infrastructure projects (including roadways, drainage, utilities, emergency response, and school capacity) are fully funded, completed, and proven to meet existing community demands.

Overdevelopment without supporting infrastructure is already straining roads, schools, utilities, and public safety services. Continued unchecked growth threatens the health, safety, and quality of life for current residents.

We urge the Onslow County Board of Commissioners and the Planning & Development Department to prioritize responsible planning, not just developer profits. Let’s build smart, not

 just fast.
