We, the undersigned residents, businesses and road users, call upon Kirklees Council and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority to pause and review the Bradford Road cycle lane scheme before further works are completed. 

Since construction began, many residents and businesses have become increasingly concerned about the impact of the scheme on parking, traffic flow, access to local businesses and the overall appearance of Bradford Road. 

While we support investment in transport infrastructure, we do not believe the current scheme reflects the priorities of many local residents. 

We are therefore calling for: 

·       An urgent review of the scheme. 

·       A public meeting with residents and businesses. 

·       Publication of the business case and projected benefits. 

·       Consideration of amendments before completion. 

·       A review of parking and traffic impacts.
