Corpus Christi, Texas is in a war with all the stray dogs and cats. This is simply not acceptable euthanizing so many animals a week because people do not spay or neuter their pets and then just release or abandon them to the streets.  Corpus Christi is no longer "The Sparkling City By The Sea".  It's time for a change and the people of Corpus Christi want to see the City take a stand on this issue.  Individual animal rescuers, the large rescue groups simply CANNOT handle this problem on their own. Elected  Officials need to take a stand like other cities have done. When dogs are taken to animal control they cannot be released until they are spayed or neutered. These animals are starving, neglected and dying on the streets and in the shelter.
