Dear Paul Ryan,

I’m creating this petition in response to your unwillingness to condemn a man who lead a news site (Breitbart news) with headlines including the following:

•  "Birth control makes you a slut"
• "Birth control makes men unmanly"
• "1001 reasons why global warming is so totally over in 2016"
• "The solution to online 'harassment' is simple: Women should log off"
• “Bill Kristol: Republican spoiler, renegade Jew”
• “Suck it up buttercups: Dangerous Faggot Tour returns to colleges in September”
• "Would you rather your child had feminism or cancer?"

You said “I've never met the guy. I don't know Steve Bannon, so I have no concerns…” when asked whether you were concerned about someone who is anti-semitic, misogynistic, and racist having a prominent white house position.

 How can you possibly govern this country if you need to meet every single person in order to form an opinion on them? Had you met Bin Laden? What about Saddam Hussein? Is this to say that you had no concerns about them?

 This man has had a prominent position in Donald Trump's campaign for months. Are you suggesting that neither you nor your staff bothered to do any background research?

 If this is the case, I call on you to resign. You do not have the courage to serve the United States as it faces internal challenges against a president-elect who is likely compromised by Russia and potentially many other foreign governments. How can we trust you to participate in checks and balances against the executive branch when you lack the courage to form an opinion on someone before you’ve met them?
