Most vegetarians are oblivious to the fact their favourite brand of Wall’s ice creams, such as Cornetto, Magnum, Feast etc are not suitable for vegetarians as it contains calves rennet.

It’s really disappointing that Wall’s are giving no consideration to their vegetarian customers, and only a handful of their products are vegetarian, which includes the Ben & Jerry’s range, one from the Magnum range, and two products from the Solero range.  You would think in this day and age companies would make extra effort to cater for such dietary requirements, and use alternative ingredients but clearly not the case with Wall’s/Unilever.

In addition, Hindus worship and give the up most respect to cows, and therefore do not eat meat products derived from cows.  Wall’s is a household name for most Hindu families but the loyalty has clearly been overlooked, as no considerations seems to have been given to this community and it’s religious sentiments.

We have all consumed Wall’s ice cream in good faith over the years and never felt it necessary to question the ingredients.  But it’s now shocking to hear what they put in our food. 

Therefore, please join this petition and make Wall’s/Unilever re-consider their ingredients and find an alternative to make their ice cream suitable for vegetarians.
