Do we need animals in Indonesia dying at this Zoo of death?
The issue
A giraffe found with a beachball-sized wad of plastic food wrappers in its stomach has died at Indonesia's largest zoo, Surabaya. The 30-year-old male giraffe named 'Kliwon' had for years been eating litter thrown into its pen. The wad of plastic found in his stomach weighed 18kg. How do you think that happened?
This is sadly just one example of the heartless cruelty brought on by lack of caring, funding, education, inability to control breeding; as well as persistent suspicions that members of its own staff are involved in illegal wildlife trafficking.
Stop animals from dying
Why do you think they are treating their animals that way?
Help Save the Animals at Surabaya Zoo
Would you treat animals this way?
Sign my petition to give these animals a chance for survival.
Th Biggest zoo in Indonesia, the biggest shame and the biggest example of animal abuse, in a country that prides itself on its progress.
Capturing and killing all the endangered species.
Why do you think that’s happening?
Let's not let these animals suffer another day. It is up to people like us to to make a difference. Free these and more animals that could one day be housed in this torturous animal prison.
We have the power to shut it down and save all these helpless animals.
They can't help themselves.
Closing this zoo down will save all this endangered and rare species.
