Palm oil is a type of vegetable oil made from the palm fruit grown on the African oil palm tree. In Sumatra and Borneo 300 football/soccer fields of rainforest are being burned or cut down an hour to make room for oil palm plantations. Animals like the orangutan or Sumatran tiger are suffering because of it, and Nestle is one of palm oil's biggest customers. When I get enough signatures I will send an email to the head of Nestle, Paul Bulcke, asking him to stop using palm oil in their products.
