Rehire Bob Heist to the Governor Mifflin Aquatics Program

Rehire Bob Heist to the Governor Mifflin Aquatics Program
The Issue
It was just brought to my attention that Bob Heist was fired after 44 years of service to the Governor Mifflin community. This is absolutely terrible to hear and I can't fathom how or why this would be the correct option. I have truly benefitted from the guidance of Bob Heist and it is a shame to see my cousins and all children coming up through the GM community will no longer benefit from such an amazing mentor.
Bob helped mold me into the man I am today by helping me get into a great college, assisting me in getting to the level of being able to play a D1 sport, and helping me along my way to the professional world with mentoring and being a reference on all my job applications. Bob was so influential to my family, that he coached my uncle (age 38) for track, myself for water polo and swimming (age 24), and my brother for water polo and swimming (age 19). This level of mentorship/guidance is unheard of in today's society where job security is scarce and people jump from job to job without a second's hesitation. He never did any of this for the money or the recognition, he did this out of the kindness of his heart. Bob also kept the program afloat after hardships endured over the summer of 2012 and into the 2012-13 school year. To get rid of such a crucial piece of GM's history in such a way is a dishonor to him and the community as a whole.
I have created this petition to call for Bob Heist to have a better end to his GM career and be rehired to his position that he cared so dearly about. For all of you who know him, you undoubtedly know how much Bob cares about GM, and most of all, the kids that he has coached for so many years. I know this will be signed by many passionate alumni who share my dislike of this direction for the GM aquatic community (not to mention his time as a track coach).
If you have been positively impacted by Bob Heist, I ask that you please sign this petition so we can show how truly valued he was to our community.
I ask Mr. Tulley and the Governor Mifflin School Board to reconsider this decision, as this is no way to treat such an integral part of the GM community, both past and present.
