If passed this bill will disable the ability of no kill shelters to house, feed and care for neglected, abused and homeless animals in Illinois by placing animal control in the position of releasing animals at their discretion. If you love animals and believe that they deserve a chance by allowing the no kill shelters to continue to operate as they do today by accepting surrendered animals then you need to tell your state representative to vote no on this bill! Contact Governor Quinn at 312-814-2121 and Sen Manas at 217-782-0228 who sponsored the bill to tell them to not pass this misguided piece of legislation! At a minimum sign the petition and pass it on! We must defeat this legislation and not allow it to become law to allow our not-for-profit shelters to continue the great work they do caring for and placing animals in forever homes!
