Epyc Wynn started this petition to Patreon CEO Jack Conte

This petition exists in response to the political commentator Carl Benjamin aka Sargon of Akkad being banned from Patreon; from which he and his family were relying on the approximately 140k US dollars a year from. For more information, please watch this video by Sargon: You Cannot Trust Patreon

We, the users of the Internet, in order to empower a more perfect Internet, establish justice, ensure free speech, provide for the common users, and secure freedom from abuse for all users, do ordain and establish this Boycott and Petition of Patreon for their explicit acts of censorship of Sargon of Akkad.

No creator should fear being banned for their rhetoric or political values, and if that costs money, then the price of free speech is never too high. To people who rely on Patreon: please consider switching to an alternative services which are out there and function the same. This would discourage censorship like Patreon has engaged in while incentivizing services that back free speech.

Sargon of Akkad, an alt-centrist liberal who has backed both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, was banned from Patreon with no reason provided to the public. The public, whom routinely funnels tens of thousands of dollars each year into his Patreon just so his family live off him working as a political pundit for the people. If the laws of the land will not prevent businesses from removing the means of survival from political commentators, and in turn censoring them by threatening removal of said means, then we the users of the Internet must take justice into our own hands. We will do so in a respectable effective fashion that demands swift action by Patreon. If Patreon believes it can take tens of thousands of dollars from their own member on politically motivated lines as evidenced by removing Milo Yiannopoulos within the same 24 hour period, then we can take our millions of dollars elsewhere.
