The pandemic has been hard on everybody. People were struggling with student loans prior to COVID because of ridiculously high monthly payments and accruing interest. Most people haven’t made loan payments in over two years, these big companies don’t need our money. Some people are living paycheck to paycheck because their student loan payments are higher than most of their other bills. Not to mention, they make it almost impossible to get out of student loan debt the way the system is setup. All I’m saying is they have been doing fine without the payments. Some people have even had time to breathe and pay other bills. We shouldn’t have to pick and choose what bills we are going to pay because monthly student loan payments can exceed $500/month.
