Petition updatePass Tiny's Bill : The Service Animal Protection and Law Enforcement Accountability Act“DID YOU KNOW? Why Service Dog Teams Must Stay Together — Even in Emergencies”

DID YOU KNOW??
Handlers should almost never be separated from their service dogs…even during emergencies.
Under the ADA, the only legal reasons a service dog can be removed are:
• If the dog is out of control and the handler does not correct it
• If the dog is not housebroken
That’s it.
Not confusion.
Not inconvenience.
Not because someone “didn’t know the rules.”
Even in crisis situations, first responders are encouraged to keep teams together whenever safely possible because for many disabled people, a service dog isn’t just comfort…
They are life-saving medical equipment.
And yet, across the country, these protections are not consistently followed.
That’s why Tiny’s Bill is so important.
Tiny’s Bill will create clear, consistent training nationwide so first responders understand:
• How to safely approach a service dog
• When separation is never appropriate
• What to do when a handler is distressed, disabled, or non-verbal
• How to keep teams together whenever safely possible
Education protects teams.
Training prevents mistakes.
Tiny’s Bill brings both.
