Pass the FBA Lineage Rights Act (FLRA)
The Issue
Pass the FBA Lineage Rights Act: A Federal Blueprint for Protection, Restoration, and Justice
The United States has never implemented a federal framework that specifically protects Foundational Black Americans, the lineage formed through U.S. chattel slavery before 1865. The harm endured by FBAs was created through government action and sustained through policies that failed to repair, protect, or recognize us. The FBA Lineage Rights Act is the first legislative model designed to address this gap by identifying lineage-specific harm and establishing a structure for lawful repair.
The FLRA establishes a comprehensive federal framework for:
- lineage verification and identity protection,
- federal reparations and long-term restitution,
- restoration zones in historically harmed communities,
- housing, land, and environmental repair,
- economic protection and equitable access to capital,
- health equity and structural remediation,
- education, justice, and cultural rights, and
- permanent institutions to enforce and sustain these protections.
This petition calls on Congress, state legislators, and municipal leaders to formally adopt the FBA Lineage Rights Act and begin the required process of legislative review, public hearings, and governmental implementation. FLRA moves the nation beyond symbolic gestures into the structural repair required for true justice.
By signing this petition, you affirm that:
- FBAs deserve federal recognition and protected status.
- Restoration must be lineage-specific, measurable, and enforceable.
- The United States must correct the government policies that produced today’s inequities.
- Congress must advance the FBA Lineage Rights Act into formal legislative consideration.
Add your name to encourage adoption of the FBA Lineage Rights Act and help build the political momentum needed for federal action. Together, we can ensure that restoration becomes a matter of law, not opinion.
USBA 2025 is the digital platform for the United States of Black America, a lineage-based national framework that clarifies FBA identity, protects it from distortion, and establishes the cultural and structural foundation for reparative justice.
