The Issue

I am one of the three million Dreamers, i.e., DACA recipients in the United States who has lived under a veil of uncertainty since childhood. Like countless others, I have contributed to the U.S. economy, attained a bachelor's and graduate college degree, paid my taxes for the last 13 years, and abided by the laws of a country that I consider my home. Yet, despite our achievements and contributions, we continue to live in limbo due to the lack of a comprehensive legal framework addressing our immigration status.

Dreamers are individuals who were brought to the U.S. as children and have grown up knowing only this nation as their home. We work, study, have families, own homes, pay taxes, and serve in our communities, demonstrating our commitment to the American values of hard work and perseverance. However, our futures hang precariously, dependent on temporary measures like Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which can be revoked at any time, subjecting us to the threat of deportation and separation from the lives we've built.

The Dream Act Bill 2025 is a beacon of hope for thousands of us who aspire to be fully recognized as contributing citizens of this country. This bipartisan piece of legislation offers a structured pathway to legal status for Dreamers, ensuring we can continue to enrich the country economically and culturally without fear.

Passing the Dream Act Bill 2025 would not only secure the futures of millions but also reflect the principles upon which America was built, offering protection and opportunity to those who seek it. As Dreamers, we are woven into the fabric of American society—we wish to continue to live our lives openly and contribute meaningfully to the nation we love.

We are not asking for "amnesty", but urging Congress to step up its responsibility and accountability of young people who apply to adjust their status under the DREAM Act, creating a lengthy and rigorous process.

Congress has a unique opportunity to do what is morally right and economically beneficial by enacting this legislation. It's time for lawmakers to rise above partisanship and acknowledge the reality of our lives. We urge you to understand the profound impact that passing the Dream Act would have not only on our individual lives but on the community as a whole.

Join us in urging Congress to pass the Dream Act Bill 2025 into law. Sign this petition and help us pave the way for a brighter, more secure future for Dreamers and the country alike.
