Thank you so much to everyone who has signed and shared so far. We are building real momentum!

I’ve seen some comments from people who are frustrated that this petition doesn't push for DSS reform or harsher state sentencing like the death penalty. I want to say clearly: I agree with you. I am just as heartbroken and furious as you are, and in a perfect world, the entire system would be torn down and rebuilt today.

But real change is a ladder, and we have to climb it step by step. Tackling DSS reform is a massive, multi-year state battle. Javeayah’s Law is a targeted, practical federal amendment that we can push through right now to make sure no one can ever weaponize a community's heartbreak to cover up a crime without facing automatic federal ruin.

This law is a baby step, but it’s a baby step in the right direction. It lays the groundwork for greater accountability down the line. Let's secure this victory for Javeayah first, close this loophole, and use that momentum to keep fighting for deeper reforms next.

Please keep sharing. Every signature counts! #JaveayahsLaw
