Pass Aiden’s law: Protect innocent drivers on Interstate 95

The Issue

On March 29, 2025, our lives changed forever. Our son, Aiden Zeallor, was driving home on Interstate 95, a route so familiar and yet so utterly dangerous that day. As he journeyed towards home, in Philadelphia, a sudden eruption of gunfire broke out between rival groups. An innocent driver, Aiden was caught in the fatal crossfire, tragically murdered that day.

Aiden's death was not just another statistic—his life mattered, just like the lives of countless innocent drivers on our roads every day. Despite the clear and present danger on our highways, justice for Aiden remains elusive. His killer roams free, shielded by a lack of evidence. This injustice is largely due to the absence of recording safety cameras that could have captured the incident, providing solid evidence for law enforcement agencies.

Passing Aiden’s Law is essential to ensure this kind of tragedy never occurs again. This law proposes the installation of recording safety cameras along high-risk interstate corridors like Interstate 95. These cameras are not just eyes on the road; they are deterrents to crime, capturing crucial evidence that can lead to swift justice. By implementing this proposal, we can reduce violence and increase safety on our highways, ensuring that innocent lives are protected and perpetrators are held accountable.

Philadelphia, like many cities with heavily trafficked interstates, needs this protection. Statistics reveal that roadways like Interstate 95 are hotspots for violent activities, putting drivers at risk daily. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the presence of recording cameras can deter crime by as much as 30% and significantly aid in criminal investigations.

We cannot afford to wait. The absence of these safety measures leaves every driver vulnerable, and every highway a potential crime scene. Passing Aiden’s Law will help prevent more heartbreaking stories like mine from becoming a reality. It will honor Aiden’s memory and serve as a commitment to safety and justice for all.

Join us in this fight to ensure safer roads for everyone. Urge local authorities and lawmakers to take this crucial step forward. By supporting Aiden’s Law, you are not only helping to seek justice for my son, but also for the countless others who need protection on our roads.
