Inasmuch as we, the undersigned residents of Santa Fe City and County, deplore and condemn all acts of violence against innocent civilians, whether by Hamas, by Israel or by any other entity, we do hereby urge the Santa Fe City Council to pass without delay a resolution in solidarity with more than 48 US localities demanding a permanent cease-fire in Gaza. 

We additionally support an end to the savage genocide and brutal apartheid of all Palestinians living under occupation in Gaza and the West Bank. In that regard, we implore the city Council to include in the resolution firm language that promotes accountability by encouraging the withholding of all USA tax payer funded financial and weapons support to the state of Israel until such time as Israel agrees to and demonstrates a permanent cessation of all hostilities, the resumption of all humanitarian aid to Palestine including UNRWA, the return of all confiscated Palestinian land, the rebuilding of their homes and infrastructure, hospitals, universities and schools, and a firm commitment to a two state solution.
