We live in Meriel Marina Bay, a community managed by Bozzuto and owned by Hines (Marina Bay Residences LLC). Our community has been plagued by leaks and mold, causing severe health issues for residents of all ages, including elders and children. Despite our efforts to seek assistance from the Health Department, local councils, the mayor, and the Massachusetts Health Department, building inspection, little to nothing has been done.

We currently have a class action lawsuit in the Norfolk Superior Court against both Bozzuto Management and Marina Bay Residences LLC due to the persistent leaks and mold growth. For years, we were misled about the severity of these issues, putting our health at risk.

It is time for Massachusetts to pass a law mandating strict regulations on mold prevention and remediation in residential buildings. This law should ensure regular inspections and immediate action when mold is detected. Protecting our health must be a priority.
