Having a dog makes us happy and peace at the same time and it will take a lot of responsibility for us in order for them to keep safe and healthy, however there are irresponsible owners who failed to take care and neglect their dogs just for the reason that they cannot take care of them anymore and the only option they can think of is to let them live on the street or surrender them in dog pounds.

The Pasig City Dog Pound has been receiving messages from dog owners asking for them to surrender their pets at the pound. Through this kind of situation brings disappointment and shows irresponsibility from the owners knowing that these dogs are being neglected and will suffer uncomfortability, with inadequate food, water or shelter.

The world indeed is a cruel place to live in especially for these poor little creatures. They only want to feel loved and secured by their owners but in the end, they'd ended up being neglected and left alone in these cold scary streets and who knows what can happen to them out there. These stray animals are prone to being abused and harassed by strangers out there and even if they did end up being placed in a shelter, if not adopted, they will be subjected to euthanisia and die alone and defenseless.

We, the students of Pasig Catholic College made this petition in order to call for support for the further development of Pasig City Dog Pound. This petition is made in order for the administration of the pound to stop the inhumane treatment of dogs in the pound. The petition also calls the administration of the dog pound to provide a clean environment, adequate food and water for the dogs in the pound.
