Hello, petition signers!

Firstly, thank you for signing and sharing. Your support for this effort is making waves in our community and positive change is within reach if we follow-through! There have been some very encouraging developments that were sparked by this petition and its goals. There are as follows;

There will be a virtual community forum this Sunday afternoon (October 11th) at 3 PM hosted by the Jackson PTA in partnership with the Altadena Town Council, Altadena Library, and Altadena Historical Society to discuss the name of Andrew Jackson Elementary and representation of the cultural, ethnic, national, and gender diversity within our community. There will be a brief presentation followed by a survey and Q&A session. Make your voices heard!

Additionally, it is clear that the PUSD School Board is peripherally aware of the overwhelming support for this petition but to drive that point home, I will be delivering all 245 pages of signatures and comments to each of the seven school board members tomorrow morning ahead of this virtual community forum.

We have the momentum! The time is nigh! With your help, we will see this one over the goal line!
