Save Zona Rosa Caffe

Save Zona Rosa Caffe
The Issue
We, the undersigned, hereby pledge to refuse patronage to any future business (other than a reincarnation of Zona Rosa Caffe) that will take over 15 S. El Molino Ave, the storefront currently occupied by Zona Rosa Caffe. Zona Rosa Caffe has been an integral part of the Playhouse District for 25 years; its patrons are loyal and heartbroken over the news of the cafe's imminent closure as a result of having lost their lease.
Closures of community institutions like Zona Rosa chip away at the soul and fabric of artistic and familial neighborhoods like the Playhouse District. Zona Rosa has been much more than a coffee shop--for the past two and a half decades, they've been an independently owned and operated haven for artists, a valuable meeting space, a gallery, a music venue, and a provider of great kindness and generosity. The continuing disappearance of businesses like these strips away at the city of Pasadena's integrity.
It is our aim as members of the community to show their landlord just how valuable the cafe is to all of us. Hopefully, once they see what an essential part of Pasadena Zona Rosa is, they'll consider extending their lease and allowing them to remain in the home they've cultivated since 1994.
