Partial Refunds for Stray Kids’ DC Concert on 6/23/25

Partial Refunds for Stray Kids’ DC Concert on 6/23/25
The Issue
While Stray Kids put on such an excellent show to the best of their ability in the sweltering heat, there were major systemic failures that caused the concert to be unpleasant for everyone involved. The concert took place at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. on June 23rd, 2025, and it resulted in many issues at the hands of Live Nation, the event organizer, and Nationals Park, the venue.
Challenges faced by fans included not having water readily available, waiting for medical care, VIP ticket holders not being allowed into the venue for soundcheck, sealed and empty water bottles permitted by the venue being thrown away by staff, not enough space in designated cooling areas, being laughed at or almost run over by staff, lack of proper lines to get through security or ticket checks, and misdirection by staff, among other difficulties. All of these issues increased the chaos and exacerbated the rate of heat-related illnesses to the point of the Mass Casualty Task Force being called in to help with all the medical crises that the understaffed and undersupplied venue medics could not handle.
The concert was cut short with nearly a third of the setlist to go due to the extreme heat and humidity from the heatwave. The full experience that concertgoers expected was only partially delivered, and as a result we are seeking 27% of ticket costs for every ticket holder to make up for the 8 out of 30 songs from the setlist that we didn’t get to see performed, as well as prorated refunds for the value of soundcheck for VIP ticket holders who missed soundcheck because they were denied entry. This would demonstrate a good faith effort on the part of the concert organizers and uphold a standard of customer satisfaction and fairness.
It should have never gotten to the point of the performers having to hand out their personal water bottles and pay out of their own pockets for fans to receive the water being sold by the venue. The gross negligence of Nationals Park and the Live Nation staff could have caused even greater devastation than witnessed on Monday.
We call upon the organizers of the Stray Kids concert and Nationals Park to promptly address this issue and arrange for refunds prorated to 27% of the original ticket costs for all ticket holders affected, as well as refunds for VIPs who missed soundcheck. It is vital to set a precedent for how such mishandling should be taken care of in the future.
Please support this petition to ensure fairness and accountability for the attendees of the Stray Kids concert.
