Please help me keep the woman who killed my daughter behind bars

Please help me keep the woman who killed my daughter behind bars

The Issue

On July 7th 2015 Toni-Ann Marletta killed my 15 year old daughter Marissa Procopio in a hit and run. After she hit my daughter, she stopped her vehicle up the street  to check it for damage and then continued down the street leaving my daughter there to die. A few hours later she was apprehended. Although she tested positive for alcohol and other substances in her system, she was only charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal accident. Since she fled, she made it impossible for them to be able to determine the time she ingested these substances (before or after killing  my daughter) which resulted in her not being charged with homicide or manslaughter. Sadly this May, Toniann will be eligible for parole again. She was only handed a seven-year sentence because of this awful loophole. This will be my last opportunity to plead to the parole board to hold  her accountable at  the very least, to her seven year sentence. As a mother, knowing all I have is one last opportunity to hold her  for the maximum amount of time on such a horrific crime, hurts more than one will ever know. Please support my petition. Although my daughter won't be able to come home for anymore holidays or birthdays. Attend school, activities, family parties, or meet her little sister....in honor of my daughter, please help me make sure this woman sits every second of her 7 year sentence. November 24th is Marissa's birthday. Please consider your signature and comment her birthday/ Christmas present. This petition will be going to the parole board with me. Please sign, comment, and share. Thank you so much.
