The disqualification of Agnes Chow, a young democracy acivist in Hong Kong, from running for an upcoming by-election is clearly a step for the pro-Beijing HKSAR government to pursuit full autocracy. Hong Kong's legislature has been deeply undermined since the disqualification of six pro-democracy lawmakers last year. And it is now gradually being eroded until our legislative branch is no more. Britain should act now to review the status of BNO. It is dishonorable for a country to keep its own people living under authoritarianism.
