As one of many steps towards achieving freedom of movement for citizens of Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK, CANZUK International welcomed this month's announcement that Canada and Australia’s reciprocal youth mobility agreements will be expanded to include participants between the ages of 30-35.
The upper age limit for both mobility visas between Canada and Australia has long remained at 30, but due to consultation and campaigning from CANZUK International, the limit has now been increased to 35 – a move that will delight thousands of young workers wishing to obtain working rights in either country.

In addition, a report tabled in the Australian Senate this week has strongly encouraged the United Kingdom to join the Trans Pacific Partnership, effectively creating a CANZUK free trade zone, according to Australian Senator Eric Abetz.
The report from Government Senators as part of the Australian Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee’s review of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) noted that if the UK were to join the TPP, it would effectively achieve the aspirations of many for a CANZUK (Canada, Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom) trade deal.
