CANZUK International’s proposals for free movement, trade and foreign policy cooperation between Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom have been adopted as official federal party policy for the Conservative Party of Canada, following the party’s convention in Halifax this week.
The initiative was voted on by over 800 delegates, with 97% voting in favour and ensuring that CANZUK would become official party policy ahead of the 2019 federal election.

In addition, a prominent government Minister in the United Kingdom has confirmed that the government of New Zealand are “very keen” to negotiate a free trade agreement once the UK has left the European Union next year.
The Secretary of State for Scotland, David Mundell MP, spoke to BBC Radio 4 from Christchurch, and claimed ongoing discussions between the two countries are highly positive and certain to result in post-Brexit trading relations.
