Restrict police powers under the dangerous dogs act, give owners the opportunity to prove that their dog is not of a prohibited breed before the dog is seized. 

My friend recently had his American bully seized and then returned to him, but she has been returned looking like a whippet.

Too many people are loosing pets they consider family based solely on their looks and nothing else. Even when these dogs pose no threat and have never been aggressive. Not only is is traumatic for the dog being taken from it’s family, it also effects the family they’re being taken from. 

If the dog has never bitten, has never been aggressive, why should this dog be seized and potentially put to death based on how it looks?
