I started this petition last night and at the moment we have 82 signatures. Thank you if you have signed and please sign and pref share too, if you have'nt as yet. The maximum jail sentence for animal cruelty is up to 12 months but in Australia it is 7 years. The animal welfare act 2006 is out of date. We need Uk courts to have the powers for much harder sentences. Animals suffer dreadful injuries and death at the hands of scum; who normally get a few months imprisonment. Its time this all changed. Help make this happen.
