It’s come to the limit of my realisation that for several years, animals have died due to unnecessary testing. All that’s asked is for it to stop. Testing on animals has been debated but has there been any physical action towards fulfilling the duty to its full capacity? 

A great number of citizens use products that are applied to the face. Those products are tested on the poor animals. We need to know the accuracy and reliability of a product before we apply anything on but with testing on animals, we wouldn’t know. The National Institute of Health had discovered that 95 out of 100 testes that pass through animals fail in humans, that’s outrageous. We wouldn’t want to sell or give any products to people with the possibility of their skin becoming severely damaged or anything related, right? 

Now let’s imagine being them. Imagine going through pain every single day without being aware of what’s happening. Almost 100 million-plus helpless animals die due to being poisoned, burned and abused all year round. This showcases the decrease in specific animal species. They don’t have the life span and tolerance we have. Even if we were experiencing the tragic events, would we survive? Definitely not. 

What’s the purpose of animal testing? There are so many methods to testing products. People are able and could willingly volunteer, they will have to sign documents. No lives are taken and if a volunteer does unfortunately flatline, they would have already signed a contract. If that method is denied, some products are cruelty-free. There are already a variety of different companies that make cruelty free products. In my opinion, a wide range of beauty brands chooses cruelty over cruelty-free. Although companies like Sugar cosmetics, Moon Juice and Velettà specialise in the cruelty-free area, there are even companies that major in vegan products. So many other methods could be listed as well. 

The general purpose of this is to show and spread awareness, it’s also to ask for it to stop and see a move made. Animal testing should be prohibited from any sort of use. Lives being taken, both animals and humans, it’s unsafe and unnecessary. There are so many other more reliable choices and ways when doing experiments or making products. Ways that are less harmful and more efficient. Please take this soulful request to consideration.
