Miles de galgos jóvenes que no cazan suficiente bien, (según la opinión de los galgueros), van a ser matados de distintas maneras no muy agradables. Como, por ejemplo, el ahorcamiento, ser pegado hasta morir, o quedar sin comer para que se mueran de hambre. Haber visto que el gobierno español sin vergüenza amenaza al gobierno de Belgia por simplemente haber expresado su opinión (en otro asunto), queda todavía más claro que salvar a los galgos no va a ser fácil... Lo que normalmente debería hacer próximo es organizar cenas informativas, para informar a los parlamentarios del Parlamento Europeo de la pésima situación de los galgos. Es como lo hace en el cabildeo internacional (cuando tienen montones de dinero). Sí, hay varias asociaciones de derechos animales en Europa que tienen muchísimo dinero, y podría pagar por cenas informativas para hasta 700 parlamentarios. ’Animalismo’ es un negocio mucho más grande que creen la gente, y cien mil euro no es tanto para algunas de ellas. Al otro lado, tomando en cuenta como actuan ahora el gobierno español, se puede preguntar si en este caso sería el mejor alternativo las cenas informaticas... Una campaña de anuncios, cada mes durante un año o dos, en por ejemplo Alemania, podría posiblemente tener un impacto más grande. Hay asociaciones de derechos animales europeos que podrían pagar por este alternativo también, pero dudo que van a gastar ni un centimo. No son suficiente interesados en los galgos maltratados. Si eres miembro de alguna asociación europea grande de derechos animales, puedes por supuesto proponer alguno de estos alternativos para ayudar a los galgos... Por favor, ique siguen ayudando a difundir la petición! Por ejemplo, en los grupos de Facebook. Hay alrededor de cien grupos en español (buscar por ’animales’, ’animalista’, ’maltrato’, después elige Grupos) y muchísimos también en portugués (buscar por ’animais’, etc). iMuchas gracias por su ayuda! Having seen that the Spanish government shamelessly threaten the government of Belgium, for simply having expressed its opinion (in another matter), it has become even more clear that saving the Galgos will not be easy at all... What normally ought to be done next, would be to arrange information dinners in order to inform in detail about the lousy treatment of the Galgos, to the parliamentarians of the European Parliament. This is how matters are typically handled in international lobbying (when having heaps of money). Yes, there are several animal rights organizations in Europe possessing large amounts of money, that could be able to pay for information dinners for up to 700 parliamentarians. Animals rights is a much larger business than what most people believe, and a hundred thousand euros are not that much money to some of them. On the other hand, taking into consideration how the Spanish government is acting at present, one might ask oneself whether information dinners in this case would be the best alternative. An advertising campaign, every month during a year or two, in for example Germany, could possibly be an alternative with a larger impact. There are animal rights organizations in Europe that could be able to pay for this alternative as well, but most likely they will not agree to pay a single cent. They seem to be not very interested in the Galgos suffering. Should you be a member of any large European animals rights organization, you could of course suggest any of these alternatives to help the Galgos to them... One might well argue, that donated money primarily should be used in order to help animals still alive, rather than, for example, giving priority to demanding justice for long since dead rats (real life example). There are a lot of groups in French and German, Dutch and Hungarian, as well...
