The Hideout Cafe Needs You!

Unfortunately the Parish of St Brelade have unexpectedly refused to renew our ongoing permit which means we're potentially facing closure at the end of the month. This is due to building works starting for the development of the public toilets. It was always agreed that we would remain until 28 days after the development was complete, however, after 4yrs of our happy arrangement the Parish decided 2 weeks ago that this is no longer acceptable and have advised us they won't be renewing our permit.

This means that not only will it affect the amazing community we've built up over the years, but all our staff are at risk of losing their jobs too, completely out of the blue. We wouldn't like to speculate on why there has been a sudden u-turn from the Parish, but we hope we can make a difference with the help of you, our amazing and much loved customers!

Our aim is to simply have the ongoing permit reinstated in order for us to continue to offer you a service we know you appreciate and we love providing. We aren't asking for anything more than was originally agreed and feel it's unacceptable to close us down with no sufficient justification. 

The community shouldn't have to suffer and although we support any building work on the site, as always, it should not be at the cost of our customers or our livelihood!
