Please sign to tell NYS Office of Family  Services and NYS Special Education Department that therapy providers (Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, Physical therapy as well Special Education teachers) do not need to be directly supervised in daycare and classroom settings. These state agencies  are interfering with individual treatment of children with special needs and providing guidance and regulations that adversely affect our children. They have provided guidance to request a program review to change Individual Education Plans to either state classroom or home environment despite what the parents agree to and what is in the best interest for each child. Treatment areas or quiet places will no longer be an option since most if not all childcare centers do not have the financial resources to hire babysitters for adults who are cleared, have professional licenses in NYS, and are supervised by other State agencies. Help therapists and teachers provide quality care to our children!!!!! If we are forced to intrude into the classroom it disrupts the learning environment of EVERY child!!!
