The Tome Cronan Act is the law. The time for implementation is now. Do not let anything stand in the way of 2 days of elementary physical education taught by an endorsed physical education teacher.
The full House Education Committee will meet Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. to discuss and vote on HB 1688. The bill as written begins with the "deletion of ...." referring to physical education in the elementary school being taught by a PE specialist or a teacher with PE endorsement.
Please contact a member of the House Education Committee and tell them to
"The Cronan Act for Elementary Physical Education is the law. The time for implementation is now. Do not let anything stand in the way of implementation of this important legislation for children."
Add a personal message from your background, especially from those of you who are parents. Those of us as teachers will also add a special note. Any coaches, you know all too well the importance of a qualified person teaching the skills.
