This petition is being created to drive change at the WV Government level.  The current color coding system being used to dictate our children's access to in person education is a very singular view and does consider all necessary factors for determining the safety of our children within the walls of our schools.  There should be multiple pieces of information taken into consideration, as numerous other states are doing.  It is our duty to advocate for what is best for our children and virtual/distant/e-learning is statistically not as effective as a structured classroom environment.  This very linear view of what is safe/unsafe is just exacerbating the issues that have caused WV to remain in the bottom of national educational statistics.
