When I was 2 to 5 I went to daycare. Then I went to a primary-elementary school for kindergarten to grade 6 learners (This school was in my area mind you). I stayed in this school and in daycare till I was in grade 7 when I went to a middle school which was 7-9, which was also in my area. In grade 7 I made a choice that I was getting tired of the same people in my school, the same boring language, the same thing all the time, but I got turned down before I could even ask "why?". People look at me as "weird" because of bad choices in friend groups and I would just like a change. Something NEW. In school my grades in french are top notch for someone who's been in English their whole life with french as a subject. I'm willing to spend time learning fluent French over the next school year (gr 8) well doing my studies In english as well as working on my math and science. My main problem or my moms I should say is that the school is in town (a 30 minute drive) and she's not willing to drive apparently even though my friend in that school has offered me a ride, since he's in LFI , we could even do carpooling! I think her real problem is that I won't have friends, I'm going to get bullied or I'm going to do bad seeing it would be my first year in LFI (late french immersion) and I already have "wavy" or "up and down" grades in both math and science. My mom thinks that since I moved when I was 2 to have friends, that I shouldn't move again to find none. LFI offers one school year with 30% of classes in french, I wouldn't have to stay till grade 12. I think being in a different school for a year will give me a chance to meet new people before going to a new school (in town) with new people in high school. To be honest, my mom needs to get over her grudge against the other middle school In town (that offers LFI) because we will all be in the same school in highschool and let me live a little, for once I should be able to voice my opinions without getting turned down or even listened to.
