Parents Against IPS Dismantling Neighborhood Schools and the K-8 Model

The Issue

We fully support equity in education and public schools, and agree that changes must be made to the IPS system so that all children can thrive and be successful.  We disagree that dismantling neighborhood schools and the K-8 model will help achieve equity in education and we have not seen any data to support the changes in the IPS Rebuilding Stronger slides and material thus far.  The impact of the proposed changes could be significant to our kids and families.  If IPS removes sibling preference and the K-8 model, we will strongly consider other school options outside of the IPS system.
